Default maximum infant age

In the Childcare module’s settings, you can set the default maximum infant age, that is to say: 18 months, 24 months or 30 months.

The default maximum infant age will be used when configuring a new child’s settings. Until now, the infant subsidy’s end date was calculated automatically for the infant subsidy to end when the child was 18 months less one day. Maximum infant age will now depend on the value configured in the module’s settings.

Since most children are over 18 months when they leave the nursery, it can be useful to configure their settings in order for the infant subsidy to end later on to avoid having an error message during childcare fees management. If a child leaves the nursery earlier on, the child’s settings can be modified accordingly at this point.

For coordinating offices, it would be preferable to leave the default maximum infant age at 18 months since most children are in home childcare and maximum infant age in home childcare is 18 months.
